Sevilla have been strongly linked with a bid for Spain U21 international Suso, who is currently on loan at Almería from Liverpool.

Suso Almería Liverpool SevillaDuring an interview with Estadio Deportivo and ahead of the match between Almería and Sevilla this weekend, 20-year-old Suso was asked about his longer term future at Liverpool, where he has just a year left to go on his contract.

“I’ve been talking with Liverpool, to see if they’re going to renew my contract. Next season they could be playing in the Champions League and I’m really keen to be a part of that.”

Even with that ambition though, amidst reported interest from Sevilla, should a bid be lodged with Liverpool for his services, Suso indicated that it’s also an option he’d be very interested in, when asked about the recent speculation.

“I don’t know anything about that, but maybe they’ve spoken with my agent. Sevilla is a club I’ve always admired, for how they live and breathe football, their character, their stadium… It would be a really good place for me. Also, it’s just an hour down the road from my home.”

Suso has made the most of his loan spell with Almería this season, whilst also producing impressive statistics with his performances.
