Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale was forced to get two stitches in his right knee after a clashing with the boot of Real Sociedad defender Markel Bergara in Saturday evening’s 0-4 win at Anoeta.

With the game in hand, Bale clashed with Bergara’s spikes, which took a chunk of the Welshman’s knee with him.

Bale was bleeding profiously from the wound and proceeded to limp off the pitch with the assistance of the medical staff.

After sewing him up with two stitches, the Real Madrid medical staff will continue to monitor the knee as the player is still limping and will likely be ruled out for this week’s 2nd leg Champions League quarterfinal tie against Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion in Germany.
