Benzema: It’s not just about the ‘BBC’, we’re a team
Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema praised his fellow attacking forwards, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, while also admitting that he’d like to meet Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
In an interview with UEFA.com, Benzema discussed the qualities of the ‘BBC’ but stressed their efforts would be for naught without the work of the entire team.
“They are great players. I get on really well with them, whether it’s on or off the pitch. It’s easy to play alongside players like that, they are strong, quick and very technical.
“But we are a team, it’s not only about us, the three forwards, we have got the help of the whole team. Our team plays attacking football, and as I have said, there are some great players up front, and it’s great for us to score a lot of goals, and great that we help the team to win games.”
Benzema concluded by reiterating that he wishes to meet French Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain in the finals on the 24th of May, based solely on the fact that they are French.
“Real Madrid against … Paris. Why? Because Real are my team, and Paris because they are a French team … We’ve played three consecutive semi-finals. This year we are doing well, we still have a few games to play to reach the final, but we are getting closer to it.”
