Italian Serie A champions, Juventus has reportedly reached out to the agent of Barcelona winger, Alexis Sanchez, over the possibility of joining the perennial Champions League side next season and reuniting with his compatriot, Arturo Vidal.

Alexis Sánchez celebrates a hat-trick for Barcelona

According to Italian sports daily, Corriere dello Sport, Juventus’ general manager, Guiseppe Marotta called Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich to test the waters and gauge the player’s interest in joining the ‘Vecchia Signora’ next season and bolstering their attack for a deep Champions League run, something that had evaded them in their last two appearances in the competition.

Marotta has made no secret of his love and respect for Sanchez, who he initially tried to sign from Udinese, before the Chilean international went on to join Barcelona, where he has had a career riddled with ups and downs.

Juventus have denied having made contact with Felicevich, but considering their failed attempts to his him in 2012 and 2013, it’s safe to say they will, once again, try to sign the speedy winger.
