Real Madrid centre-back, Pepe was all smiles after a well-fought, 1-2 Copa del Rey final win over Barcelona on Wednesday evening at Mestalla and the Portuguese international stressed that they will now turn their attention to winning both La Liga and Champions League.

In his post-match press conference, Pepe spoke about the incredible win and the unbelievable goal by Gareth Bale.

“We had chances to kill the game and that’s important to us.  I can’t wait to celebrate with the fans.  We were coming off a La Liga match and we came out well in the first half.  When we had the ball, we tried to exploit them between the lines.

“Bale’s goal was incredible, mostly because of the minute it came in.  We have a medical staff and physiotherapist who allow us to rest and prepare us to go the full 90 minutes.”

Pepe concluded by weighing on if this is the finale or the start of the most difficult part of their journey.

“We found a way to win, but now we have the Champions League and La Liga.  We need to fight to add the maximum amount of titles possible.”
