Neymar Sr.: We’re thinking about Barça first, then the World Cup

Barcelona winger, Neymar’s father recently discussed his son’s injury and despite reports, insists his son is only thinking about Barcelona and not the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

In an interview with Deportes Cuatro, Neymar Sr. spoke about his son’s injury to his fourth metatarsal (foot) suffered in last week’s Copa del Rey final loss to Real Madrid, which will sideline him for four weeks.

“[His foot] is getting better but he’s sad that he’s not playing.  We’re thinking about Barça first, then the World Cup.”

Neymar Sr. also backed his son’s previous statement that he looks to be fit by the last game of the season, which could decide the La Liga title, and admitted that Neymar was “a little scared” when he felt something wrong with his foot in the final minutes of the title loss.
