Real Valladolid striker Humberto Osorio was a super-sub for his team, leaving the bench in the second half and scoring the equaliser against Real Madrid, with five minutes left on the clock.
Scorer of the equalising goal that almost certainly ends the title bid for Real Madrid, whilst keepin his own team’s survival chances alive in the Primera, speaking with GOL TV after the 1-1 draw, Real Valladolid striker Humberto Osorio was delighted with the hard-won point and thankful to God for his opportunity to get such a crucial finish for his team.
“This was a really important game for us. This point takes us out of the relegation zone and now we have to keep fighting. Thanks to God for giving me the opportunity to play and allowing me to score the goal.”
Having beaten Barcelona at the José Zorilla and now holding Real Madrid, the key to those performances according to Osorio, has been the determination and the desire of the team.
“We’ve played really well against great teams. It’s important that we’ve been really enthusiastic and the team made a huge effort, never gave up fighting for the club and for the games.”
Appearing from the bench in the second half, whilst he’s had to wait patiently for his chances to play, Osorio has never lost confidence in his ability.
“I always have faith that I can score and get opportunities, so I’m really happy with this one.”
