Varane: My right knee is fine, I have no doubts
Real Madrid centre-back, Raphael Varane insisted that despite the ups and downs this season has brought due to injury, and although he didn’t make the trip last Wednesday to Valladolid as a precaution, he stated that his right knee feels fine and he’s ready to finish out the season on a high note.
In an interview with Le Figaro, Varane spoke about his recovery and his current fitness.
“There have been a lot of things said about my knee, jokes about the operation not going well, but the situation is clear: I was in good hands, those of Dr. Hervé Silbert.”
Varane went on to further clear up the rumours of his demise, by reiterating that his knee is fit and that the club was resting him for the final three matches of the season, as they will likely be without Pepe, who suffered a calf injury against Valladolid.
“At the level of the joint, everything is fine and I have no doubts about my knee.”
