Celta Vigo’s striker Nolito spoke about the future in his press conference on Friday, claiming that he the manager Luis Enrique – strongly linked with Barcelona – has not talked anything about his future, but if the Catalan club called for the player himself, it could be too good to resist.

“I don’t know what will happen in the coach’s future. If I was in Celta and Barca called for me, of course I’d go, but I don’t know what the coach thinks”, he said in a press conference ahead of Sunday’s league fixture against Real Madrid.

The Celta striker played in Barcelona’s youth ranks and is now enjoying a good first season at Balaidos. This season he has scored fourteen league goals and could be on the shopping list of many clubs in the summer. The player himself, however, plans to stay in Celta.

“I don’t think Sunday will be my last game at Balaídos. I have three years left of my contract and my thought is not to leave. There have been good and bad moments during the season but me and my family are very happy in Vigo.”

Speaking of Sunday’s fixture against Real Madrid, Nolito was excited about the opportunity to win against Real Madrid: “It’s not everyday that you win against Real Madrid, so it would be spectacular if we could win the three points”.

“In the dressing room there are people from Real Madrid and people from Barcelona, like me, but we’re all Celta and we want to win these two remaining games to finish as high as possible”, he said, also stating that the team is motivated to win for the fans: “We want to make the fans enjoy after all the suffering they have had to live this year.”
