Tinelli confirms Ángel Correa will be sold to Atlético Madrid
San Lorenzo vice-president, Marcelo Tinelli, has confirmed that talks will take place with Atlético Madrid, ahead of sealing a deal for talented Argentine forward, Ángel Correa.
At a press conference on Thursday, San Lorenzo vice-president confirmed what has been widely speculated for several months: That their talented young forward, Ángel Correa, will indeed be making a move to Atlético Madrid this summer.
He revealed that San Lorenzo club president, Matías Lammens, has a meeting scheduled with Atlético Madrid counterpart, Enrique Cerezo, to finalise terms for the move.
“Next week or the week after, Matías will travel to Madrid to close the deal for Correa with Atlético.”
There was however a caveat from Tinelli, who whilst also discussing the futures of several other San Lorenzo players, explained that Correa will not leave the club until their campaign in the Copa Libertadores is concluded, which could hold back the talented young Argentine starlet’s move until mid-August.
