Barcelona have reportedly offered Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain €20 million and right-back Dani Alves for young Brazilian centre-back, Marquinhos.

According to BeIN Sports, Barcelona have offered the Parisians €20 million and Alves, who is in the final year of his contract, for last summer’s transfer target, Marquinhos, who ultimately left Roma for PSG over Barcelona but will likely be the odd man out after the French side recently secured the €60 million transfer of centre-back, David Luiz from Chelsea.

Barcelona have priced Alves at €15 million, making the offer for Marquinhos €35 million, yet Alves’ representatives have ensured that there has been no contract with the Parisian club, while also stating that the offer has not been run by Alves.

At this point in time, Barcelona need a replacement for Puyol, who never returned as expected last season, while Paris Saint Germain may need to sell players to cover their UEFA Financial Fair Play fines.

Is Benatia or Marquinhos the better option for Barcelona?
