The Spanish international warns that his manager knows the capital club well and Los Blancos should be prepared for a difficult match when the two sides meet on Sunday.

Michel, appeared in over 400 league appearances over a 14-year period, for Real Madrid. He signed with the club at just 13 years of age, an advantage the Navas feels could bring the downfall of his former club.

“Michel knows Real Madrid well,” Navas told AS. “He has a plan to stop them.

“We know how to take our chances. Sevilla always look up, our playing style and the players we have support our philosophy. Real Madrid will go to the death for that edge over Barcelona [in the league standings] and they currently have it [first place] in their grasp.

“I rejoice for [former team-mate] Sergio Ramos, especially because he deserves a title victory both as a person and as professional.”

When asked how another disappointing season with the Andulusian side would affect his future, Navas remained quiet on the matter.

“You never know, what I want is to enjoy my life and grow each and every day,” he continued. “I’m not ruling anything out, but needless to say I only think about what happens at Sevilla, nothing distracts me.”
