Sevilla finalise transfer for Almeria’s Aleix Vidal

Sevilla officially confirmed the signing of former Almeria midfielder, Aleix Vidal on a five-year deal and the Catalan is hoping to continue to grow and improve with the Europa League champions.

In his first statements as a player for Sevilla, Vidal refused to define his style of play, but insists that his speed will be a great asset to his new club.

“I have many things to improve, I’m young and all I can do is try and give my best.  For three years I’ve been getting six or seven goals per season.  It doesn’t draw much attention, but it’s an important regularity, nor have I had injuries.  I hope that they continue respecting me and that I continue growing as a footballer.  I give my best, although speed may be my strongest point.

“It’s been difficult but three years ago I began my dream and I had confidence placed on me.  Almería did that and I only have words of appreciation for the club.  I hope to continue in this way.  I come to do my bit.  This is a club where the objectives are different.   I like challenges, and the more difficult they are, the more I give my all.”
