Real Madrid reportedly agree to transfer Casemiro to Inter Milan
Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sell young Brazilian defensive midfielder, Casemiro to Italian Serie A side, Inter Milan for a fee of €5 million, with Los Blancos holding a buy-back option.
According to As via Calciomercato.com, Inter Milan had originally pursued Casemiro in hopes of acquiring the player on a season-long loan but according to the report, in the end, it’s a sale.
The fee is estimated to be around €5 million, while the repurchase amount will be €6 million.
The report goes on to add that manager Carlo Ancelotti was reluctant to sell the player or even send him on loan, but realised in the end that in order for the player to continue to grow and meet his potential, the 22-year-old must be given consistent minutes at the top flight, which he will find in Italy.
Casemiro joined Real Madrid Castilla from Sao Paulo in January 2013 and was promoted to the first team the following summer, making 13 La Liga appearances this past season.
