Real Madrid have been linked to Italian international midfielder, Marco Verratti with the most recent reports stating they have already made a €40 million offer to PSG, in hopes of taking advantage of the French sides’ recent Financial Fair Play issues.

According to Italian sports daily, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Veratti’s agent Donato di Campli spoke with Real Madrid a week ago, where Los Blancos offered the 21-year-old a contract which would pay him €20 million over four years.

Verratti is a favourite of manager Carlo Ancelotti, who orginally brought him to Paris and Real Madrid are hoping that due to PSG’s Financial Fair Play restrictions, having already purchased Chelsea’s David Luiz for £50 million and their desire to purchase Paul Pogba from Juventus, will force them to unload the Italian playmaker.

In his two seasons at PSG, Veratti has already built quite a CV, which includes; 2 Ligue 1 titles (2012–13, 2013–14), 1 Coupe de la Ligue (2013–14) and 1Trophée des champions in 2013.
