New Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc Andre Ter Stegen has suffered a “lumbar contusion” in the team’s second training sessions on Monday.
An official statement from the club on Monday evening confirmed the knock and stated that the German international would undergo further testing on Tuesday morning.
New first team goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen suffered lumbar contusion during the second of Monday’s two training sessions. The club doctors will examine the extent of the back injury on Tuesday, which should shed more light on his availability for training.
Reports state that it was Alex Song who accidently injured the German shot-stopper.
The club went on to add that “Xavi took the full morning session, and Adriano and Neymar joined in with part of it, in the evening, and like Bartra, they concentrated on specific fitness routines,” while new centre-back, Mathieu took part in the evening’s training session, despite not being declared fully fit by the club’s medical staff.
