Barcelona star Lionel Messi has offered to pay the entire medical bill of a 12-year-old boy who is need of six years worth of treatment to overcome a growth hormone deficiency similar to the one Messi suffered as a kid.

Moroccan child Waleed Kashash had his dreams of becoming a footballer dashed after he was diagnosed with the same condition that 5’5″ Messi famously suffered with during his younger years.

Messi had his medical bills paid for by current club Barcelona and he has now jumped to the aid of Kashash by offering to pay his medical expenses.

A woman called Soad al-Affani notified the Argentine star of the situation and replied by proposing to pay the costs of £167 every 15 days until Kashash turns 18.

Growth Hormone Deficiency is an extremely rare medical condition that affects approximately one in 3,800 child births and one in 100,000 adults.
