Athletic fans fly to wrong country
As if losing in the Europa League final weren’t bad enough, a group of Athletic Bilbao fans have even more reason to lament the loss.

The group of 400 fans of the Basque club pooled their money together in order to charter a private jet to fly to the match, thus avoiding complications from commercial airlines, labor strikes, or any unforeseen circumstance that may arise.
However, there was a slight error in their plans: Rather than booking a jet to Bucharest, Romania, they chartered one to Budapest, Hungary, 400 miles away.
They only discovered their mistake upon landing in the wrong country, and despite the setback, were determined to make it to the Arena Nationala by any mode of transportation available.
There was just one problem, as they had booked the flight to depart just hours after the match was scheduled to end, they realized that they would be unable to make it back in time, so they were resigned to watching the match on television.
As they watched on, as their beloved team fell 3-0 to Atletico Madrid, one wonders if it was a blessing that they weren’t actually there to witness the loss first hand.
The fans can take solace in the fact that their mistake was a common one: The official UEFA stadium announcer opened the events by welcoming the crowd with a booming “Good Evening, Budapest.”
