Rumours are abound that the left-back is eager to depart Roma after the firing of manager Luis Enrique, but the 22-year-old’s manager claims his client is content where he is.

Angel was brought to the Italian capital by Enrique last summer, but now that his manager has been fired, he is rumoured to be looking for a move back to Spain.

Barcelona are rumoured to be interested in the defender, as a potential replacement for Eric Abidal, but Angel’s agent, Alfredo Martinez has adamantly denied these reports.

“Absolutely not, I know nothing of Barca’s interest,” Martinez told

“He wants to stay in the Italian capital, without doubt.”

“He’s happy in this team, this city and with his contract; we know that Roma will change their coach, but that changes nothing for us.”

Angel has made 27 appearances for the club, since moving from recently relegated Sporting Gijon last summer.
