Barcelona celebrated their Champions League and treble victory in style on Sunday afternoon as their double-decker buses made it’s way through the city until they reached the Camp Nou, where the players spoke to a packed house and fireworks capped off the celebrations of an historic event.

The parade began just before the Arc de Triomf at the Parc de l’estacio del Nord and moved through the Gracia neighbourhood, through Saria before stopping at the Placa doctor Ignasi Barraquer.  The team then made their way up Avenida Diagonal to the Camp Nou, where they were greeted by thousands of fans waiting for the festivities to begin.

The players celebrated with confetti and fireworks, while many gave a speech thanking the fans and in the case of Gerard Pique, thanking Colombian singer Kevin Roldan for releasing pictures from Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday party, an event that marked the decline of Real Madrid after a record-breaking run.

The crowd cheered for Xavi, who named Andres Iniesta as next year’s captain and Messi who gave them what they wanted, three trophies.  But the most emotional speech was that of Dani Alves, who seemingly gave a tearful goodbye to the fans as his future is still very much up in the air.

The players also took photos with all three trophies, accompanied by their wives, girlfriends and children.
