Malaga confirm two-year loan of AC Milan’s Hachim Mastour
Malaga have confirmed the loan signing of AC Milan midfielder Hachim Mastour, who will join the Andalusians for the next two seasons.
Mastour arrived in Malaga on Monday afternoon and after passing his standard medical, signed his new two-year contract with Javi Gracia’s side.
Malaga have been tracking the former Real Madrid target to bolster their squad before the close of the summer transfer window on Tuesday afternoon and the deal is set to be finalised on Monday pending a successful medical, which was further confirmed by the player’s arrival to Andalusia Monday afternoon.
Sergi Darder, despite every public comment from Malaga stating that the Mallorcan will not leave the club this summer, joined Olympique Lyon on Monday morning.
In that light, Malaga were working rigorously to secure the loan for the Moroccan-born star, who carries an Italian passport.
Malaga wanted to sign the player to a loan with an option to purchase at the end of the season for a fee of around €5 million, but the two sides agreed that the promising young star would play for two seasons in order to grow as a footballer under a well-respected coach.
