Real Madrid winger Jesé Rodriguez was carted off in the second half of his side’s clash with Malaga with appears to be an injured calf muscle injury.

In the 58th minute of Saturday evening’s La Liga clash against Malaga, Jesé attempted a shot but pulled up lame after it was safely handeled by Malaga goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

Jesé was clearly in pain and fell to the ground and called for the medical staff, before he was carted off the pitch and taken to the dressing room to undergo tests and determine the extent of the injury.

Jesé was replaced by Mateo Kovacic as Los Blancos looked to break open their 0-0 draw with the Andalusians.

As of publication, there is no news on the extent of Jesé’s injury or a timetable for his return, as the club will likely monitor the injury this week and during the international break next week before ruling the player out for any specific length of time.
