Mourinho: I don`t have a team

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho spoke to the media following his club`s 1-0 defeat to Sevilla on Saturday evening.

Mourinho lamented the loss, and admitted that there are a majority of players who have lost concentration, and he puts the blame squarely on his own shoulders.

“Our defeat was well deserved, we had a lousy game.

“At the moment, I don`t have a team.

“We are lacking a collective spirit; only two or three heads are not like the others.

“There are only a few players who are engaged and concentrated on football, and believe that football is the centre of their lives.

“I am the coach and therefore it’s my fault.”

However, Mourinho was quick to defend Ronaldo, stating that his current situation did not have any adverse affect on his play.

“We played as bad as against Valencia, Granada and Getafe and did not talk about this.

“I changed two players  at halftime, but wanted to change to seven, football should allow more changes.

“Di Maria and Özil were no worse than others.

“A team without concentration, without mental capacity will struggle.

“Sevilla fought as if every ball were the last, with a perfect aggressiveness; ours only did that against Barcelona.”

Real Madrid will have a week to regroup with the full squad, as they take on currently undefeated Rayo Vallecano in Round five of La Liga play, and try to close the eight point gap that currently separates them from league leading, arch rivals, Barcelona.
