Hercules beat Barca B in a close game, Real Murcia shocked Vallodolid and an Alex Guillo goal gave Recreativo a shock win over leader, Elche.

Friday’s Match

Hercules CF 2-1 Barcelona B

A battling performance from both sides ended with Hercules getting a 2-1 win over Barcelona B despite being reduced to ten-men. Diego Rivas was sent-off for the home side after 27 minutes. Gerard Deulofeu gave Barca the lead but Michel equalised only a minute later, Samuel then won the game for Hercules with 20 minutes to go.

Saturday’s Matches

Recreativo Huelva 1-0 Elche CF

League leaders Elche lost their first match of the season in the shock result of the weekend, Alex Guillo gave Recreativo an impressive win. Ruper was shown a red-card for the visitors on the hour mark.

Deportivo La Coruna 2-1 CE Sabadell

Deportivo beat unbeaten Sabadell, Valeron scored his first goal of the season just before half-time and Mexican Guardado scored made it two just minutes after. Baha got a late goal for Sabadell but they could not find the equaliser.

SD Huesca 3-3 CD Alcoyano

Huesca twice gave away the lead as Alcoyano grabbed a deserved point. Martinez and Molina gave the home side a 2-0 lead but Alvaro Garcia and Miki scored goals to put the sides level at half-time. Luis Helgera made it 3-2 to Huesca but Rafael Gomez earner the away side a point with ten minutes to go.

FC Cartagena 0-2 AD Alcorcon

Paco Lopez found himself the first managerial after his side were beaten by Alcorcon at home. Quini and Montanas scored on 63 and 77 minutes to comply the misery on a bad day for Cartagena.

UD Las Palmas 0-1 Cordoba CF

Cordoba got a great win in Gran Canaria against Las Palmas as Charles scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes remaining.

Xerez CD 0-0 Gimnastic Tarragona

Gimnastic came for the draw and left with the draw. Jose Mari had a couple of chances to win the game for Xerez but failed to convert, Gimeno was shown red late on.

CD Numancia 1-0 Girona CF

Both sides have started the season poorly and it took a 90 minute winner from Julio Alvarez to give Numanrica all three points.

Sunday’s Matches

Villarreal B 3-3 Guadalajara

Villarreal love scoring goals, but they also concede alot too. Guadalajara raced into a three goal lead. Fofo opening the scoring after only ten minutes for Villarreal but the home side then fell apart. Moreno and Harper scored either side of the half and Ernesto added a third from the spot after Dorvite was sent off for a trip in the area. Fofo then scored his second of the game and Joselu got his side level with a minute to go.

UD Almeria 1-0 Celta de Vigo

A wicked deflection of the referee gave Bernardello the chance to score and he did. Controversial stuff but Almeria took all three points.
