Atletico Madrid to refuse all offers for Falcao

Atletico Madrid has no intention of negotiating the transfer of Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao, with sources within the club stating that the club will not sell the goal-scorer and will not accept a buy-out clause payment of €60 million.

Falcao is widely regarded as one of the best pure strikers in global football, drawning the attention of Europe`s biggest clubs with Champions League winners, Chelsea and reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City both willing to pay outrageous amounts for the Colombian`s services.

Earlier this week, Atletico president, Enrique Cerezo was seen meeting with Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez and general director, Jose Angel Sanchez, prompting many to believe that Real Madrid could be making inquiries into the striker and possibly negotiating a pre-transfer ‘pact’.

However, according to club sources, there was no talk about negotiating a transfer for the player, but to ease tensions between Atletico Madrid and La Liga president and vice-president, Jose Luis Astiazaran and Javier Tebas, the later being very outspoken against Atletico Madrid`s business practices.
