Barcelona forward David Villa has told Barca TV that he is ready to play his first full 90 minutes after returning from a fractured leg.

The Spanish international impressed again for Barca as they beat Celta Vigo 3-1 in Saturday evening with Villa scoring and assisting a goal.

“I’ve spent a lot of time training with the team, I started on the first day of the pre-season, and little by little I’ve got into the rhythm of the competition,” Villa told Barca TV.

“I’ve started three games in a row and that makes me happy. I don’t think I’m too far off from being able to play the full 90 minutes.

“As a forward, goals are important on an individual level, but they also help the team.”

Barca face Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday night in Glasgow.
