Former Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola, who is currently living in New York, may be taking a hiatus from football but is not completely unemployed as it was recently revealed that the Catalan footballing icon is currently earning up to €250,000 per speaking engagement.

Guardiola recently spoke at a conference in Mexico upon the invitation of Fundacion Telmex, where he discussed the methods he employed at Barcelona, which led them to a period of unprecedented success.

The conference was attended by notable figures such as former president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

For a one-hour speech, Guardiola earned a sizable amount of €250,000, but as Spanish sports daily, Marca suggested, the amount was likely donated to charity.

Regardless, it appears that Guardiola is still in high demand, as it was recently revealed by his agent that there are five clubs that have approached Guardiola about taking over their managerial duties, with the most notable being Manchester City.
