Premier League side Chelsea sent scouts to watch Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao this weekend but have returned dissatisfied with what they saw.

The stage was set for the player to show that his destruction of Chelsea in Monaco was not a one-off but ‘El Tigre’ was far from his best. It was a frustrating night for him personally with only 3 chances falling his way during the entire game.
Roman Abramovich is desperate to strengthen his forward line. He still remains unhappy with his strikers despite investing nearly 100 million euros on players like Oscar, Hazard and Moses. Fernando Torres has been a huge disappointment and he has been spoken about as a possible makeweight in the Falcao transfer.
Winning the Champions League last season has fueled the owners desire to invest further, should the right players become available. Falcao looked just such a player as he scored goals in seven consecutive league games, however his early season form seems to have deserted him with only a penalty against Sevilla to show for his industry over the last five games.
The last time the Columbian endured such a goal drought, he spoke with his mentor Silvano Espindola who advised him to keep calm, play as normal and the chances will come, which of course they duly did.
Whether or not he seeks solace from others again, Radamel Falcao needs to rediscover his touch quickly if he wants Abramovich to dip into his wallet once more.
