Real Madrid defender Pepe was left angered by Angel Di Maria’s performance in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey defeat to Celta Vigo as tensions begin to mount at the club.

imagesJose Mourinho’s men went down 2-1 to Celta in the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie and the Portuguese tactician angrily blasted his players for putting in a rather dull performance.

That has since been echoed by compatriot Pepe who was left angered by the performance of Di Maria with cameras catching the defender shouting at the winger during the game.

“One player did not want to play and I will have words with him,” Mourinho told reporters following the game.

The Argentine international has been in strange form this season, scoring only four goals in 24 appearances and his attitude has been questioned on several occasions.

The tension comes just a day after former coach Radomir Antic blasted the club for their current season and claimed many of the first team squad are desperate to leave.
