Valencia playmaker Dani Parejo has discussed the improvement Los Che have made under new coach Ernesto Valverde.

imagesSince the arrival of Valverde who replaced Mauricio Pellegrino before the winter break, Valencia have drastically improved and approach Tuesday’s Copa del Rey match with Real Madrid in high spirits.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Parejo spoke touched on a different feeling he gets from the fans since Valverde arrived and the difference in his coaching.

“The crowd are little bit more less on edge and that is because we have improved physically and mentally.

“I personally have trained hard but I must not stop improving, I have to keep growing. People do not know all that went through my head in those bad moments, I was messed up and I lost all confidence.”

Parejo then spoke on Tuesday’s tie with Real Madrid and admitted it would be tough to beat Jose Mourinho’s side.

“Real Madrid are a great team and even though they have been poor in the league, they will want to do well in the cup.”
