Barcelona representatives reportedly in Brazil to close transfer of Neymar
Barcelona representative, Raul Sanllehi is reportedly in Brazil meeting with Santos officials in order to close the transfer of highly-touted Brazilian international forward, Neymar.
According to Barcelona-based Spanish sports daily, Mundo Deportivo, the increased interest in the player by ‘El Clasico’ rivals, Real Madrid has spurred the Catalans into action and are looking to close the deal within the next couple days.
The report goes onto state the transfer fee and contract will be worth roughly €120 million.
Sanllehi is eager to close the deal as soon as possible and there will be a meeting between the two sides either on Wednesday or Thursday in Sao Paulo.
In addition to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich have also been linked to the Brazilian, adding further pressure on Barcelona to get a deal finalised.
Santos and Neymar will be in action this Sunday against reigning Club World Cup champions, Corinthians as they attempt to come back from 2-1 in the Campeonato Paulista.
