BREAKING: Tottenham raise their bid to €26 million plus variables for Roberto Soldado
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly raised their bid from €24 million to €26 million plus variables in their attempts to sign Valencia striker, Roberto Soldado.
According to Spanish radio station, Cadena SER Valencia, Tottenham have been in Valencia negotiating for Soldado all of Monday and have presented Los Che with a final offer of €26 million plus variables for the Spanish international.
Valencia have stressed that Soldado is not for sale, but would be unable to stop a team from triggering his €30 million release clause.
Now it appears that Tottenham, with the variables may have reached that €30 million breaking point, but are hoping to not force the issue, and Soldado to bring the required amount to the LFP offices and reach an amicable agreement withValencia.
The Valencia board will meet at 12:00 local time on Tuesday to come to a decision on whether to accept the proposal or demand the release clause be paid in full.
If the deal is finalised, Soldado will earn, according to Radio Marca, €3.5 million per season.
