Barcelona has been very vocal regarding their decision not to sell star midfielder Cesc Fabregas, but the Catalan club has reportedly lined up Marco Reus as a possible replacement if Fabregas were to leave.
Yet with the English club continuing to raise their bids for Fabregas, Barcelona is rumored to be looking at possible candidates to replace the midfielder were he to possibly leave his boyhood club.
Recent reports from Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona has lined up Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus as the leading candidate to replace Fabregas.
However, the Catalan club has a list of potential candidates that also includes Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan and Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata.
Despite the club’s unwillingness to sell Cesc Fabregas, Barcelona is aware that there is a possibility that an English club could tempt the 26-year-old away from his boyhood club which has led to sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta looking into various options for the Blaugrana midfield.
