Bale lands in Marbella, ahead of Real Madrid presentation
Gareth Bale is now in Spain, ready to complete his move from Tottenham to Real Madrid.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas had said Gareth Bale wouldn’t be playing in their Premier League match this weekend, and he was right.
With the stage quite literally set in the Santiago Bernabéu, awaiting the presentation of Gareth Bale in the number eleven shirt of Real Madrid, the Welshman has now set foot in Spain as the final stages of his transfer from Tottenham go through.
Shortly after 1pm local time, Bale arrived on a private jet at Marbella airport near Málaga. Accompanied by his family and representitives, he will relax for a little while, before making the trip to Madrid, once the final paperwork is completed, allowing Real Madrid to present their latest ‘Galactico’ signing.
Earlier today, images in the Spanish media appeared of the staging being prepared at the Santiago Bernabéu, ahead of the usual pomp and ceremony that accompanies the presentations of new stars, in front of thousands of cheering Real Madrid fans.
