The real action in this match seems to be outside the actual pitch, as the summer transfer deadline is just over a day away and a number of Real Madrid players, and one Athletic Bilbao player could be on the move and be playing the last match of their career with their club.

Real Madrid come out with Diego Lopez starting at goal over Iker Casillas, while the remainder of the line-up looks fairly standard, with Isco commanding the midfield.

Real Madrid XI: Diego López; Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Modric, Khedira; Di María, Isco, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema

Athletic Bilbao only brought 19 men due to injuries to the squad and one player in particular, Manchester United transfer target, Ander Herrera has not been named to the starting XI, as rumours continue to swirl around the player’s future.
