Tito Vilanova has made his first public appearance since stepping down as Barcelona manager as he took in a Barcelona youth match to watch his son play.

Tito Vilanova stepped down as Barcelona manager on July 19 due to his ongoing battle against cancer and has yet to be seen by the public since.

However, Vilanova made his return to the Barcelona field as he attended a Barcelona Juvenile B match with his wife and former assistant Jordi Roura to watch his son Adria Vilanova play.

The Barcelona youth side defeated El Prat 2-1 with Adria Vilanova scoring the game winning goal which he dedicated to his father who he recognizes as his role model.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell recently stated that he had dinner with Tito Vilanova and claimed that the former manager appears to be in good health and fighting hard to come back to the Catalan club in some capacity and help Barcelona be successful.

It is expected that Vilanova will work as a scout for Barcelona as he desires to continue working for Catalan club though a coaching position has been ruled out for the future.
