Sevilla defender Stephane M’Bia has been ruled out of the next month of action, after the Cameroon international suffered a broken toe in his last match against Rayo Vallecano.

Sevilla saw off visitors Rayo Vallecano last Wednesday with a 4-1 victory, but not everything was joyful at the Spanish club.

Defender Stephane M’Bia left the pitch with what appeared to be a foot injury in the match and missed Sevilla’s next fixture against Real Sociedad on Saturday.

The club has officially released a statement announcing that the Cameroon international has suffered a broken toe, due to heavy post-traumatic arthritis and will be forced to miss the next month of action for Sevilla.

M’Bia will likely miss out on four important fixtures for Sevilla with two Europa League matches set to place in the coming month.

It is believed that the 27-year-old could make his return from injury in front of his own fans against Osasuna next month, or possibly at the Santiago Bernabéu when Sevilla travels to face Real Madrid.
