Valdes to reportedly sign four-year contract with AS Monaco this January
Barcelona’s departing goalkeeper, Victor Valdes will reportedly sign a contract with Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco this coming January on a four-year deal.
Valdes has made it perfectly clear that this will be his final season anchoring the goal at his boyhood club and with his contract set to expire this summer, he is officially allowed to negotiate with different teams when the winter transfer window opens in January.
After recently admitting that AS Monaco is an option, Catalan radio station, RAC 1, has reported the Valdes will sign on for four years at the Stade Louis II, joining former Barca teammate, Eric Abidal.
AS Monaco are current joint Ligue 1 leaders with Paris Saint Germain, in their first year of promotion, due in part to massive summer signings such as the aforementioned Abidal, former Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, James Rodríguez, Former Malaga defensive midfielder Jeremy Toulalan, former Sevilla defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, Moutinho and former Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho.
