Osasuna’s injury concerns continue to grow after it was confirmed that Sisi is likely to miss the remainder of the year, with Riera also pulling up injured.

Despite Osasuna’s 0-0 draw with Barcelona on Saturday, things did not end well for the Navarran club who has seen countless players injured in the past few months.

Early in the first half Sisi had to be stretchered off the pitch as it was confirmed that he had severely injured his ACL, which will require surgery and extension recovery therapy.

All signs point to Sisi missing the remainder of the season, with the most likely outcome being that he will miss roughly a year of action; but he was not the only player to suffer injury.

It was also confirmed that striker Oriol Riera has picked up a muscle contusion in his right thigh, as he was unable to fully participate in training on Monday afternoon.

Sisi and Riera join several other players on the injury list with Armenteros, Raoul Leo, and Nino all expected to miss significant time as well.

Manager Javi Gracia has since called up several reserve side players in an attempt to fill his squad with David Garcia, Ander Cantero, and Jorge Gomez training with the first team this afternoon.
