Ramos: In El Clásico, anything can happen
With the Champions League victory against Juventus now behind them, Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos turns his gaze towards El Clásico on Saturday, against Barcelona.
Following the 2-1 win against Juventus at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday night, it’s clear what Sergio Ramos is thinking about next, believing that in Saturday’s El Clásico against Barcelona at Camp Nou, the game could swing either way.
“When evaluating things ahead of El Clásico, you can’t take the previous match into account. El Clásico is always a gain of high intensity. At this level, anything can happen, especially in a Clásico.”
Ramos admitted that his team have yet to reach their best and that it will take time, but stressed the value of a Real Madrid win against Barcelona on Saturday.
“The evolution of the team will come through the course of the whole season, one game at a time. On Saturday, we have a very important game. It will be a huge leap forward if we can win there.”
