Olimpic de Xàtiva have announced that ahead of their Copa del Rey tie at home against Real Madrid on Saturday 7th December, they are to install temporary stands to meet the demands for tickets at the match.

Normal seating capacity at their modest La Murta stadium is 3,600 and this will be increased to just over 6,000 seats when the temporary stands have been erected.

Olimpic have also announced general sale ticket prices. Children aged 6 to 15 can acquire tickets for €25, whilst over 15’s and adult ticket prices have been set at €50. The only covered stand at the stadium has 900 seats, is mainly available to season ticket holders at €25, along with members, officials and guests, though remaining general tickets have been made available at €100 each in this sector.

Along with the additional seats for the occasion, additional facilities such as extra toilets and bars, are also being provided for, along with extra medical support.

Olimpic club president Alfonso Rus has however joked that, “we don’t want to give any advantage to Madrid,” by making any further improvements to the floodlights.
