Espanyol defender, Hector Moreno has dismissed the rumours linking him to a possible move away from the Catalan club, stating that his prioirty is Espanyol and turning their season around.

Hector MorenoIn a recent interview, Moreno spoke about the team’s recent run of poor form heading into the international break and his desire to help his team regain the momentum they showed at the beginning of the season.

“They’re just rumours and outside noise.  They don’t distract me from my priority, which is Espanyol, nor do I care [what's being said].

“We started off well and then we let the goals seep through, and scored goals that Kiko Casillas could do nothing to stop.  We lacked a bit of intensity and focus of decisive plays.  Now we’re working on correcting the errors and mistakes and getting back to the way we were at the start of the season.

“During the break we worked hard and hope to come back to form in Vallecas (Rayo Vallecano) with a good result.  Every team in the world would struggle without intensity, which was our M.O. and in our DNA.

“We need to give more and work hard to improve.”
