Villarreal winger, Giovani Dos Santos has finally found a home at Villarreal after struggling for years following his decision to leave Barcelona and is now hoping to grow into his enormous potential.

In a recent interview with Spanish sports daily, Marca, Dos Santos spoke about his career revival at Villarreal and Mexico stamping their ticket to the 2014 World Cup next summer, but there is one player who he feels could help ‘El Tri’ in Brazil…

“Good results solve everything in football. Win, go to the World Cup, take things as they come and see what we can do there. It’s a complicated matter between Vela and the Federation. I don’t know his reasons. What I do know is that he’s an amazing player who would bring a lot to the Mexican national team.”

Dos Santos went on to add that he has learned a lot from his struggles, and often wonders what could have been if he had decided to stay at Barcelona, but the 24-year-old has found contentment with the Yellow Submarine.

“They were all life experiences which allowed me to grow a lot. I feel I’ve grown up immensely. I’m in a great moment in every aspect of my life and I’m enjoying that.

“[At Barcelona I lacked] patience. I was 17 or 18. We’ll never know what might have happened.

“[Villarreal] had a very bad year the season it was relegated. Apart from that the team has played the best football in Spain in recent years. I’m not surprised by the season we’re having.”
