Juan Antonio Pizzi appears to have accepted the approach for the managerial post at Valencia, according to his agent, who stressed that he must now finalise his exit from Argentine club, San Lorenzo.

Juan Antonio PizziRicardo Slipper, the representative of Juan Antonio Pizzi, has publicly stated that his client is keen to make the move to Valencia, providing he can clear his exit from Argentine side, San Lorenzo.

“He has received the offer and was tempted more by it, with the passing of a matter of hours. All that remains now, is to break his ties with San Lorenzo.”

“Juan Antonio was always mindful of a return to Spain and the economic differences, weighing on the time of making his decision.”

Assuming that Valencia and San Lorenzo can amicably reach a compensation agreement, with the Argentine club having previously denied they would accept, Pizzi could be set to make his managerial début with Valencia, as early as the city derby against Levante.

Slipper also confirmed to Argentine media on Friday, that Pizzi will travel to Valencia with Roberto Ayala this weekend, part of the new technical team at the Spanish club, who has been an influential figure in the negotiations.
