Man City striker Dzeko tops Valencia New Year shopping list
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is amongst several Valencia target signings, pending the takeover of the club by Singapore billionaire, Peter Lim.
Valencia already have the wheels in motion ready for the January transfer, given the pending takeover of the club by Singapore billionaire Peter Lim, who is keen to invest not only in wiping the debts, but ensure that funds are available to push the team towards the Champions League places in La Liga by the end of this season.
Club president Amadeo Salvo has already told that “€30 to €40 million will be available” to spend in the January window and topping a lengthy list of targets, is out of favour Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko.
Whilst the salary of the Bosnian at Manchester City is currently out of reach, contact has been made and the signals from Peter Lim are that the existing salary cap will be raised sufficiently, to accommodate stellar signings for Valencia.
First contact has been made by the Spanish club, who are also aware that they will be competing with Inter Milan to move for Dzeko. Though not a straightforward move for Valencia, club president Amadeo Salvo remains confident that the funds and investment promised by Peter Lim, will be in place for the club to make a solid move for the 27-year-old Manchester City striker and other targets, to provide the push the team needs going forward.
