Injured Real Valladolid star Gilberto García Alcatraz rolls car but remains unharmed
Injured Real Valladolid right-back, Gilberto García Alcatraz was in a traffic accident early Saturday morning, where the Colombian reportedly rolled his car, but emerged from the vehicle unharmed.
According to the information collected by the 112 emergency service of Castilla y Leon (the province where Valladolid is located), the accident occurred at 04:55am on Saturday morning, where it was reported that a car had overturned in a residential neighbourhood at the intersection of Avenida de Salamanca and Calle Sanchez Arjona.
The Valladolid firefighters were notified that there was an individual trapped in the vehicle and the Emergencias Sanitarias de SACYL, transported the 26-year-old via ambulance to the Hospital Río Hortega in downtown Valladolid.
Sources close to the club informed Spanish sports daily, AS that Alcatraz has been released from the hospital and is at home and “doing well.”
Alcatraz didn’t travel with the club to Granada, where they lose 4-0 on Friday evening.
