Sevilla sporting director, Monchi has denied rumours that Spanish international left-back, Alberto Moreno could be sold this January or even have a deal in the works with Real Madrid, stating that there have been no concrete offers for the player and that he will remain at the club for the remainder of the season.

MonchiIn an interview with the club’s radio station, Monchi spoke about the situation of the highly coveted defender, insisting that their intention is not to sell and there have been no offers.

“As of today, there have been no concrete offers for Alberto Moreno.  His name should be on the lips of every sporting director for every major club.  We’ve heard from Napoli, but there have been no offers and we have to be calm.”

Moreno recently renewed his contract with Sevilla, which will keep him at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan until 2018 with a release clause of €30 million, but as Sevilla have shown in the past, the release clause is merely a negotiating point and it is believed that Moreno will be moved and for less.
