Barcelona winger, Neymar suffered an injury scare in his side’s 0-2 Copa del Rey elimination of Getafe on Thursday evening, but after undergoing tests on Friday morning, it was revealed that the player would only be out for several weeks with a sprained ankle.

On his official instagram account, Neymar gave an update on his injury, which will keep him out for a month and thanked the fans for their show of support.

“What a scare! At that time I thought it could be a serious injury, I thought about my plans for 2014 … But Jesus, again, was with me and it was just a scare. I want to thank everyone who prayed for me and don’t worry. I’m going to do everything right and will be back soon. We are together … That’s everything.”

The injury will keep him Neymar out of possibly five La Liga matches (Levante, Malaga, Valencia, Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano), the Copa del Rey quarterfinal tie with Levante, but should be back for their Champions League tie with Manchester City.
