Real Betis have announced the sacking of manager Juan Carlos Garrido, as well as his assistants Sergio Fernandez, Jorge Simo and Javier Ramos, with his replacement set to be immediately appointed tonight and being presented in a press conference on Monday.
Real Betis’ board of directors held a meeting this morning after Real Betis embarrassing drubbing at home against Real Madrid on Saturday evenin, reaching the decision that Garrido would be sacked with immediate effect.
The 44-year-old took over for former manager, Pepe Mel after after the much loved former coach was sacked on 2nd December 2013, but failed to earn a win or turn the season around for struggling Betis, who still languish in 20th place and 8 points from safety, as they remain the favourites to be the first team relegated this season.
It is believed that Garrido’s successor has already been decided, will sign with the club on Sunday night according to their press release and will be presented officially at press conference at the club’s offices, on Monday morning.
