Real Valladolid look to be the second Spanish club interested in signing Sporting CP forward, Jeffren Suarez before the close of the January transfer window, but could face a strong fight down to the wire by fellow relegation side, Rayo Vallecano.
In a recent interview with Portuguese sports daily, A Bola, Suarez’s agent Brian Pugach revealed that two Spanish sides had presented offers for Jeffren, one being Rayo Vallecano and the other had wished to remain confidential.
However, it has no been revealed that Real Valladolid could be the second team in the running for the former Barcelona youth product, but MLS side Sporting Kansas City have also thrown their hat in the ring.
Pugach revealed that it may be impossible for Valladolid to land Suarez as Sporting would be required to pay the entire salary for the loan.
Jeffren, for his part, is eager to leave Sporting to further his career, which has stalled during his time in Portugal and favours a move back to La Liga.
